NHS Health Checks
A Free Check-Up for Your Health
The NHS Health Check is a free check-up designed to help identify your risk of developing certain health conditions, including heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes and kidney disease.
Even if you feel well, a health check can help identify potential risks early and give you practical advice on how to protect your health.
Who Can Have an NHS Health Check?
You may be eligible if you are:
-
Aged 40 to 74
-
Registered with a GP in England
-
Not already diagnosed with certain pre-existing health conditions
-
Not already having regular checks for some long-term conditions
NHS Health Checks are usually offered every 5 years to eligible patients.
If you're unsure whether you're eligible, our team can check for you.

Why Have a Health Check?
Some conditions can develop without obvious symptoms.
