Our Commitment & Events
Our Commitment to Saving Lives
Our commitment extends beyond the walls of our surgeries. Through our Coastal Cares programme, we deliver CPR and lifesaving skills training, visit schools and workplaces to provide health education, run pop‑up community health events and lead monthly wellbeing campaigns.
Our 1,000 Lifesavers initiative aims to equip as many local residents as possible with the skills to save a life, strengthening our community's health and resilience.
Over 100 Lifesavers Trained in One Day
At our latest Southend Coastal Surgeries Health & Wellbeing Day, we trained over 100 members of the public in CPR and lifesaving skills.
Our practical sessions gave local people the confidence to recognise a cardiac emergency, perform CPR and understand how to use a defibrillator.
Every person trained is another potential lifesaver in our community — because when someone suffers a cardiac arrest, knowing what to do can make all the difference.

Thank You for Joining Us
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the Southend Coastal Surgeries Health & Wellbeing Day.
It was fantastic to welcome so many patients and members of our local community for a day focused on health, prevention, support and wellbeing.
From blood pressure checks and health advice to community services and lifesaving CPR training, the day was about making healthcare more accessible and giving people the knowledge and confidence to look after their health.
We would also like to thank our staff, healthcare professionals, community organisations and partners who gave their time and helped make the day possible.
Most importantly, thank you to our patients and local community for coming along, getting involved and continuing to support our events.
Together, we're building a healthier and stronger community.
